Dear authors, readers, and reviewers:

During the period from October 2016 through April 2017, some revisions were made to the list of members of the editorial board of the journal, “Electronic Physician.” Also, some members of the editorial board who have been partially or totally inactive will be removed from the editorial board before the end of 2017.

Some new scholars, who are motivated and enthusiastic about reviewing the manuscripts that are submitted to the journal, have been added to the list of editors. These new editors have distinguished themselves as thorough and precise reviewers and editors in the journal’s external pool of reviewers.

The recent policy of the journal is to actively involve external reviewers, and, in some cases, manuscripts are reviewed by two or three internal reviewers and one or two external reviewers. This approach allows us to make better decisions concerning the papers that are to be published in the journal. This policy also benefits the authors because they receive more scientific comments and feedback from reviewers who are specialists. In addition, the external review procedure allows us to identify highly-motivated, experienced, and precise external reviewers, and we usually add them to our list of internal reviewers and send them more manuscripts to review.

I am very pleased to have the opportunity to welcome the new, voluntary members to the Board of Editors of the journal, “Electronic Physician.”
